Harvest Donations

Posted: 3rd October 2024

This week, our school came together to celebrate the spirit of harvest, marking a time of gratitude and giving. In a special assembly, the children proudly brought in beautifully decorated boxes, each filled with non-perishable food items. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as students presented their donations, knowing they were contributing to a cause that makes a real difference in our community.

The true heart of the harvest celebration lies in the act of giving, and today, we had the opportunity to put that into action. All the donations were delivered to Mary Immaculate and St Peter’s Catholic Church in New Barnet, where they will be distributed through the local food bank. This gesture of generosity ensures that those who may be struggling to put food on their tables will receive much-needed support during this time.
The harvest assembly was not only a celebration of the food we have, but also a reminder of the importance of sharing with others, especially those less fortunate. The children’s enthusiasm for helping out reflects the core values of our school: compassion, community, and service.

It was a wonderful experience to see the whole school come together for such an important cause. The donations to the food bank at Mary Immaculate and St Peter’s Catholic Church will make a significant impact, and we are incredibly proud of the generosity shown by our students and their families. Harvest, in all its forms, reminds us to be thankful for what we have and to always look for ways to share with those in need.
